Kelly Papakonstantinou

Kelly Papakonstantinou is a Museum Consultant of Museotek, based in Athens. Her vision is to assist museums and cultural institutions expand their audiences with practical solutions on developing dynamic educational programs delivered remotely. She has professional interest in the cultural sector where she believes new technologies like Museotek are an inextricable part of modern museums. When she engaged with the wider museum community, she committed to promoting fresh thinking and work with passion in building digital skills for museum professionals in order to overcome the complex issues that challenge museums today.

With a bachelor degree in Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art from the University of West Attica she is specialized in the field of Works of Art. She has worked closely with museums and cultural heritage professionals as a conservator, at The National Gallery – Alexandros Soutsos Museum, at the project MoCaCu (Portable Unit for the Documentation, Characterization and Conservation of Movable Cultural Heritage Artifacts from Remote Areas in Greece), at Ephorate of Antiquities of Aetoloacarnania & Lefkada and the Hellenic Organization of Cultural Resources Development. Also, she has volunteered at the General State Archives of Greece and the Hellenic National Committee of the International Council of Museums.

Participates as a lecturer in educational programs for students and seminars for adults in the field of cultural heritage, while she invests in continuous professional development by participating in seminars such as Massive Online Open Course – “Essential Digital Skills for Museum Professionals” by the Museum Sector Alliance (Mu.SA) at 2019 and the webinar “Museum Learning: Museums and children in the new age” by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in collaboration with the Museum of Cycladic Art at 2021
