Jenny White

In forming a cultural response to environmental sustainability, Jenny White, Head of Visual Arts Programme at British Council, helped to develop the organisation’s global environment management systems, training and policies and qualified as an environmental auditor. After gaining an insight into diverse artistic and cultural approaches to the environment, working on arts programmes in Japan, Thailand and Cuba, Jenny developed Greening the Arts, a network to share inspiration, alternative realities and best practice in the arts, believing that we need all voices at the table. Jenny’s interest lies at the intersection of art, environment, science, diversity and inclusion, and believes to address climate change requires culture change. She has recently contributed to the new Environment Strategy for the British Council and is developing an environment programme for Arts in Perpetuity Trust Gallery and Studios where she is a Trustee.
