Fleurette P. Karadontis studied Art History at the Sorbonne. She worked at the B&E Goulandris Foundation’s Museum of Contemporary Art in Andros and then moved to London, where she interned at Sotheby’s Department of Impressionist & Modern Art. She also holds a diploma in Asian Art from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. She continued her studies with a master’s degree on Museum and Gallery Management from City University of London, before embarking on her doctoral research, regarding the process of acquiring knowledge through art museum visits. The research of her PhD was interrupted in 2000 by the death of Elise Goulandris. She has been serving as President of the B&E Goulandris Foundation from 2000 until today.
