Sarah Schleuning, the Dallas Museum of Art’s Margot B. Perot Senior Curator of Decorative Arts and Design, presents the power of art and design to the public through impactful exhibitions, publications, and programming. Schleuning has a record of organizing thoughtful exhibitions and programs that are not only high profile and highly popular, but also recognized for their contributions to scholarship. With decades of expertise in forming relationships with living designers and artists, she continually bridges the gap between historical and contemporary design, and exploring how engaging with art can extend beyond museum walls. Her projects range from the upcoming Constellations: A Century of Contemporary Jewelry to the pioneering speechless: different by design to the record-breaking Dream Cars: Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas. She has her B.A. from Cornell University and her M.A. from Parsons School of Design/Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. A frequent contributor to scholarly publications, podcasts, and panels, Schleuning is a leading resource for design, architecture, craft, and accessibility throughout the world.
